Luma Knotty will bring you on an illuminated musical journey, serving up an original blend of guitar-driven funk, rock, and reggae.
Hailing from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Luma Knotty continues to evolve while honoring its diverse musical roots. Founded in 2017 by guitarist and lead singer Ryan Patrick, the band fuses Ryans background in blues and funk rock with formal training from McNally Smith College of Music and years of experience in roots reggae. Luis on Keys adds further depth, drawing from roots in various Latin styles, gospel, and jazz to help shape the groups eclectic sound.
Luma Knotty is a two-time Wisconsin Area Music Award winner (2019, 2024) in the World category and the recipient of the 2025 Bay Area Music Award in the Latin/World/Reggae/Ska category. In September 2024, the band released their third album, Favorite Dream, available on all major music platforms. The band toured to the Pacific Northwest this spring, marking their first national tour.
